        The Asset Management/ GIS Officer will ensure that Infrastructure Asset Management activities are carried out professionally in accordance with the required standards, practices and performance plans developed in consultation with the Asset Data Co-ordinator, Infrastructure Planner, Unit Leader Infrastructure Projects and Manager.Key Responsibilities:Support the ongoing development and maintenance of Council’s Asset Management Systems (AMS)and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Collate, capture, and digitise Council’s asset data (location and associated attributes) into Council’s Asset Management Systems and Geographic Information Systems for the benefit of the organisationand external clients.Undertake and project manage the capture of assets and asset condition data in the field.Improve the integrity of information held within Council’s Asset Management Systems and GeographicInformation Systems, by participating in quality assurance programs, and documenting metadata.Provide assistance with the development and review of asset and GIS related policies, strategies andplans to ensure the orderly and efficient development and maintenance of infrastructure assets withinthe municipality.Qualifications & Experience:Degree in Spatial Science, Surveying, Engineering or similar with substantial experience in this field.Experience in and knowledge of Asset Management principles, and infrastructure design, constructionand maintenance processes in a Local Government environment.Demonstrated experience and skills in using desktop Geographic Information Systems (GIS) andworking knowledge of Asset Management Systems, for the collection, maintenance, analysis, reportingand mapping of asset and spatial information.If you meet the above requirements, please click on the link to apply.
