Your training really does start from day one, whether it's desk training or attending our Business School - it doesn't matter if you're new to the recruitment world. There's lots to learn, especially in the first two months, but we've got everything in place to kick-start your success.

Within your first two months you'll attend Business School. We've made it as fun and interactive as possible - no death by PowerPoint. Run by our very own in house Learning and Development team who know the ins and outs of the recruitment world, you'll learn through their experiences and key in on industry secrets.

There's no sitting down quietly in the back row - expect a big warm welcome to our world where you'll have the opportunity to learn new techniques and desk training in a supportive learning environment. You'll get to meet lots of other new colleagues as well as some of the most senior people of Randstad at our Business School, so it's a great opportunity to make a memorable first impression.

We'll keep you on track post Business School with our Branch Operations Manual (BOM). Our comprehensive guide is jam-packed with comprehensive industry know-how and practical advice. It takes you through everything you need to know during your career with us. It's a great way of keeping all the skills you learnt at Business School alive and to help you give it a go in the real world. This is your new best friend, don't let it leave your side!

To shake it up a bit, we also have lots of e-learning tools and webinars. Many of these are tailored to the needs of your business line. There will be industry specific advice on compliance as well as our front office tech systems and sales skills. The beauty of these is that they're like a recruitment toolbox where you can dip in and out when you need to.

It's not all boardroom courses and e-learning – our L&D team will be on hand to support you at a desk level. It's a great way to practice calling techniques in a safe environment and get some immediate feedback too. 

We also have an awesome team of managers and mentors. We never forget what it was like on our first day and most of our leadership team started off as a consultant. If you’ve got the recruitment spark, they’ll spot it a mile off and help you every step of your Randstad career journey.

Don't worry, we won't leave you stuck at your desk all the time. Learning takes lots of different shapes and forms to keep it as fun and rewarding as possible. During your first two months you’ll be automatically registered for our three inspirational virtual learning sessions covering topics from how to build a successful desk to sourcing the best candidates. There’s a lot of practical tips and role plays so you won’t need to have that third coffee to keep you awake and engaged.
