        Currently looking for an Events Manager EL1 and Event Logistic Officer APS6 for a short-term contract for our Federal Government Client based in Cairns for an upcoming jobs Fair. These roles would start immediately. The objectives of the Jobs Fair are to:Provide job seekers with the opportunity to connect directly with employers about the skills they are looking for and available job opportunities.Provide businesses (local, regional and state-based) with the opportunity to showcase and promote current and upcoming job vacancies in their workplace.Connect skilled workers with businesses experiencing skills and labour shortages in the region.Maximise the number of local employment opportunities for job seekers.Prepare job seekers for sustainable employment.Reporting directly to the Department, the successful candidate/s will have:Knowledge of the Cairns regionDemonstrated experience in events and logistics; includingDeveloping and monitoring a detailed work planSupporting the engagement of local employers and stakeholdersOrganising, managing and executing all venue requirements (including but not limited to; venue management, catering, equipment, workshops and specialised services)Distribution of promotional materialCollecting data prior to, during and post-eventReporting regularly to the CustomerMonitoring and reporting on event budgetInterested?
