    Our client is a utilities service provider to Queensland. The team are currently seeking a Program Controller to join the team on a contract basis. Our client provides utilities services across the state. The Program Controller provides specialist program cost and scheduling expertise, analytics, insights and reporting in support of Portfolio Performance functions, contributing to the portfolio planning, prioritisation, forecasting and program management of the organisation's capital program. Duties: Establish and maintain contract work breakdown structure, project schedule and cost detailed schedulesCreate and maintain comprehensive program schedules that can be utilised to analyse resource productivity, allocations, project milestones, completion dates, and risk analysisSupport the Delivery teams to establish and manage project cost and scheduleDevelop and produce analysed schedule data and reports supporting the Delivery team to ensure ontime, on-budget delivery of program and project objectives and KPIsContribute to monthly Portfolio Performance reporting of earned value management through cost status reporting, accruals, schedule status and forecastingTrack actuals against budgets, conduct variance analyses, carry out reporting of project financials and respond to queries from project teams and program / project managers on performance issuesMonitor critical path activities on a regular basis and provide updates, analysis and forecasting to engineering, delivery, assurance and commissioning teams, including proactively identifying risks and communicating possible mitigation and corrective actionsReview and provide constructive feedback on Delivery Partner schedules and reportsSkills & Experience: Relevant professional experience in design or construction industry on programs of multiple projectsSignificant background and experience in project controls approaches, tools, methodology and systems, including initiating and leading changes and improvementsDemonstrated experience in project earned value analysis, change management and portfolio / program level management of multiple project schedules, forecasts and cashflowsExtensive experience in Oracle P6 database and project scheduling software solutions; experience in Daptiv would be highly regarded Advanced working knowledge of Excel, including experience working with large data management addressing queries and creating intelligent dashboard reporting. Tertiary qualifications in a Project Management, Portfolio Management, Engineering or relevant discipline from a recognised institution and significant relevant industry knowledge and experienceIt is expected that the successful candidate will possess strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. They will display initiative, attention to detail, and have the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised whilst contributing to the wider team's objectives.
