      Our client is a large Government agency based in the heart of Parramatta, they are currently looking to recruit an astute and driven Senior Commercial Lead to join their growing team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with the business to provide strategic and financial insight and advice to drive commercial performance and inform strategic and operational decision making for the achievement of organisational outcomes.Duties:Maintain a thorough understanding of the Business Groups to be able to provide effective commercial and strategic advice and supportAssist with continuous improvement and design of models, analytics methods, tools and reports visualisation; and applies structured frameworks, benchmarking, consulting techniques and analytical methodologies to drive decision support Monitor relevant industry trends, latest developments, innovation, technology and ways of working relevant to and which have an impact on the business; Drive effective financial management, budgeting, forecasting and analysis of all Opex and Capex atGroup and/or Business Unit management levels. Facilitate the annual budgeting process for group level budgets, including focus on the key costs and risks for long term performance, translating group target to operational targets, and contributing to the business planning process as an input to budgeting. Lead financial input into, and the review of key strategic documents, including the Group and/or Business Unit plan, to ensure consistency with corporate operating and capital commitments. Analyse Business Unit and Group financial information, deviations from plan and trends to understand and advise on the Group’s overall financial performance and determine future goals and challenges. Prepare feasibility papers and provide advice and support to reforms and restructures. Provide commentary and insight to month end performance management reporting including tracking the achievement of financial and where required non-financial targets and objectives etc.About you: Relevant degree qualification (e.g. Economics, Business, Accounting) or equivalentProfessional Accounting Qualification (CA/CPA)Chartered environment10+ years’ experience working in commercial analysis and accounting in a large complex organisation, preferably in a similar organisation or industry sector (i.e. asset intensive and/or regulated) Demonstrated experience providing financial and commercial advice and consulting expertise to senior managers.
