As one of the fastest growing power generation companies in the South Pacific, and due to continued growth across the region, they are now entering a very exciting, long term period of business growth which provides new opportunities across both their EPC and their Operations & Maintenance business units.They are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor on a permanent, full time basis located in the vicinity of Newman, WA. This role is seeking an individual who can commence ASAP as the company is interviewing immediately.The Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of projects within the scope of the plan. The main duties will include the management of multiple stakeholders, including internal partners, consultants and contractors and will manage vendors, cost scheduling, construction and commissioning. The fast-paced work environment will provide both challenge and a sense of reward, while providing an opportunity to work with a collaborative and inclusive team who strive for success!Key Responsibilities:Ensuring construction activities are completed safely and meeting the schedule, respecting the critical path and deadlinesAllocate work and provide direction to relevant trades specific work requirementsEnsure that site workers have the necessary competencies to undertake assigned tasksCommunicate with client representatives on a day to day basis, to plan work, keep them informed of progressResolve any issues of concern and identify variations or additional work requiredIdentifying and driving cost savings and safety improvement initiativesAbout youRelevant Trade or tertiary qualification with a significant experience in supervisory role in the mining industryA proven track record in project execution, including experience with brownfields projects and demonstrated commitment to the successful implementation of the project.Demonstrated experience with self-perform, EPCM, EPC project execution teamsExcellent communication both written and oral skills with the ability to present findings to senior managementComputer literacy in Microsoft Office SuiteQA/QC specialistPreferability and feasibility experience Current Covid-19 vaccination certificateFixed plant maintenance Good safety awarenessMining asset owner experience It is expected that the successful candidate will possess strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
