This position will see you involved in the planning and delivery of leasing for the Department's property portfolio across Queensland. Key duties: Negotiate leases and licences for land, reserves and buildings in accordance with legislative requirementProvide expert advice in respect of leasing mattersDraft and review lease documentationPrepare and present reports on the lease portfolio including annual compliance reportingDevelop, review and update pro forma leases and licencesOversee the Approval in Principle process for tenant alterations and worksOversite and preparation of leasing paperwork: Head Lease, sub-lease and offer and acceptance documentsCompliance with legislative and Government policy obligations regarding leasing and facilities management and maintenanceContinual development and documentation of policies, procedures and programs to facilitate best practice property management and property maintenancePrepare weekly, monthly and annual invoicing for rental and lease fees. The successful candidate will: Experience in commercial lease procurement and managementExperience in a similar position and knowledge of the Queensland property marketHold a current Qld Real Estate Registration Certificate and Qld Drivers License It is expected that the successful candidate will possess strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. They will display initiative, attention to detail, and have the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised whilst contributing to the wider team's objectives.
