    The General Insurance business is accountable for the end to end servicing of General Insurance customers including policy acceptance and administration, servicing customer enquiries, underwriting, claims and customer complaints. The Claims team is accountable for the management of the underwritten Home & Contents and Motor Insurance portfolios, processing claims in a timely and accurate manner. We provide a critical role in helping our customers secure their lives and families. Through times of loss and grief, devastating natural disasters (and sometimes just minor bingles and leaky taps), we’re here to help support our customers and their families. Do work that matters: Receive inbound calls via the your direct phone line, your peers phone line and the existing claims line, providing customers with updates on the status of their claim and actioning any queriesLiaise with customer, suppliers and internal specialists, as appropriate, in order to manage claims process towards finalisationManage a variety of claim processes for our customers.Manage your portfolio and phone queue to ensure your claims and tasks adhere to the GI Code of Practice and internal SLA’sAssess causation and determine liability of claims in accordance with your delegation, policy coverage and our Product Disclosure Statement.Allocate work to Preferred Suppliers/Builders.Obtain verbal proof of loss as appropriate and authorise repairs within delegated authority level.
