      Senior position in an essential Australian Defence projectLong term contractInvolved in managing key stakeholder relationships About the RoleA Commercial Officer is required within the 'Seaworthiness Remediation Program' for a period of 12 months, under broad direction to support the HSPO Commercial Manager through the provision of contract administration and procurement support.Duties will include:Undertaking Simple and Complex procurement activities as required Required to manage multiple funding streams for procurement and interpret policy towards the design and building of the Financial Management FrameworkExperienced distilling processes to establish funding allocation and write new processesThe administration, drafting and development of documentation (e.g., Contract Management Plans, Change Proposals, Procurement Plans, Commercial Strategies for Sustainment)Providing Commercial advice and guidance to delegates and stakeholders Experience/Skills Sought:Extensive experience in the development and management of the end-to-end Complex procurement process in a Commonwealth environment.Sound knowledge of, and extensive experience in, contract management administration, practices, and processes.Bigger picture view with long term effects in mindAbility to identify contract management risks and develop and implement mitigation strategies in regard to the Risk Management of contracts.Experience in the management of key stakeholder relationships.Knowledge of Commonwealth Financial Acts, Regulations, and systems.Ability to provide Commercial advice and guidance, specifically in relation to procurement and contract management. Essential Qualifications:Formal qualifications in contract management, commercial law or related field – Minimum Diploma level.Previous experience in the CASG Defence preferably in a SPO environment.Whole of Government contracting experience.Understanding of Government gate approval process.Experience in ASDEFCON suite of contracting templates.As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
