        Based southwest of Sydney, council is looking for an experienced PMO officer to join their newly created PMO team. Reporting to the PMO manager and working alongside a team of 3 you will be responsible for preparing scope of works including obtaining all necessary approval from relevant bodies, detailing forward delivery plans and budget estimates and managing and reporting on plan and budget performance. In this role you will be tasked with cost estimation of different activities, reviewing contractors’ management plans (traffic control plans, environmental, quality and WHS management plans) and assisting the project management office team. You will work with the wider project and design teams and other relevant stakeholders in the organisation to resolve issues with projects. You will review and manage business risk by providing regular updates and communication for both operational and capital projects that impact any related areas within the council and the community.To be successful in this role you will have engineering/construction or project management qualifications or have extensive experience working in a PMO office environment. You will have experience in data management and project management methodologies.
