        We have a Traffic & Transport Coordinator position available with NSW Government!3 month contract $50-$60/hour + super Based in Sydney Olympic Park About the Opportunity: Coordinate, maintain and implement effective traffic management plans at Sydney Olympic Park in both event and non-event to promote a safe, efficient and operationally effective traffic and transport network.Provide advice on road networks, traffic management, public transport, active transport and parking, including the potential impacts as a result of new or existing developments and activities.Identify and report on emerging trends in relation to traffic and transport, including providing recommendations on road safety initiatives.Provide timely customer information in relation to changes to the Sydney Olympic Park traffic and transport network.Plan and deliver a diverse range of transport projects by developing project plans and business cases, gaining approval for studies and procuring funds and resources to meet the requirements of road and traffic management functions and changing needs of the community.Support the successful delivery of major event operations and broader precinct operations, as required by the Senior Manager, Precinct Operations which may include after hours and weekend work, manual set up of traffic control, driving trucks and forklifts and directing traffic.About the ideal candidate:Tertiary qualifications in traffic and/or transport engineering, urban planning, transport planning, or other appropriate discipline or equivalent experience, and holder of RTA Traffic Control Certificate.Able to work after hours and on weekends if required.Current valid truck license and forklift license.What’s in it for you?Working as a contractor with Randstad comes with many benefits including:Access to our benefits platforms offering discounts at a range of huge retailers 3 x pay runs per week ensuring you are always paid within the weekExclusive access to roles before we go to marketAccess to our employee assistance program services, including counselling servicesIf this is of interest, please send your CV along with a cover letter to chantelle.darkings@randstad.com.au or apply below.*Please note - This is not an IT/Technologies role, this position requires someone from a building/construction backgroundAt Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.
