    THE ROLEThe Contracts Administrator is responsible for overall commercial support and subcontractor engagement across multiple projectsDue to our expanding portfolio of awarded contracts, we are seeking a proactive and experienced Contracts Administrator to join our project team based in Katherine NT.Reporting to the State Commercial Lead NT, you will primarily be responsible for the overall contract and commercial management for our Defence projects.Local Katherine candidates are encouraged to apply, and a relocation opportunity exists with rent free accommodation, however we can also accommodate DIDO or FIFO candidates on a 3:1 roster.RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities for this role include:Assisting project management teams with forecasting costs and reportingPreparation of variation proposals in conjunction with Project ManagersProvide ongoing commercial and contractual support for the project teams on a day-to-day basisCarry out administration, including Document Control, RFIs, Submittals, and Transmittals and Variation registersPreparation/ negotiation/ letting of subcontract packages, and procurement schedulingNegotiations, monitor, review, analyse and prepare subcontractor and supplier contracts, variations and contract notices and update existing contractsProject closing out, administering Deeds of Release and Final AccountsIdentify areas of risk, exposure and opportunity and reportingABOUT YOURelevant tertiary qualification (Construction Management, QS, Project Management)Extensive experience in a similar commercial roleStrong analytical skills and high attention to detailProven experience in the preparation of contract agreements Understanding the risks and limitations associated with all project legal agreements and requirementsSound working knowledge of project administration and project control applicationsOutstanding ability to engage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to build mutually beneficial relationships along with positive negotiation, conflict and influencing skillsExcellent written and oral communication skills – an ability to present information to a range of audiencesProficiency in the MS Office SuiteSuccessful candidates will be required to provide a police check no more than 12 months old and undertake a medical.If you feel you possess the necessary skills and experience please hit the;apply now button.or contact bryan.pritchard@randstad.com.au phone 0439072172 Please note, only shortlisted candidates will be contactedAt Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.
