    Document ControllerTemporary Assignment l 3 to 6 months Melbourne l SE Suburbs l VIC The OpportunityAre you an experienced Document Controller with experience in similar roles? You will have significant experience in document control within the infrastructure industry, with the ability to work as a valued member within a team on site. In this role you must be able to manage, edit and expedite project documentation externally and internally in accordance with internal procedures, project specifications and schedules to meet client expectations andcompany objectives.Duties:Meeting documents submission dates in accordance with project scheduleEnsuring quality of submissions are within required standards, mimimising customer rejections due to non-compliances.Effective liaison with different stakeholdersMaintaining document registers for each project with up-to-date and accurate informationMinimizing the document review cycleTimely issue of manufacturing data record booksProjectsReview the relevant document control procedures for highly complex projects.Publish relevant information to project engineers and project managers such as document title pages, drawing title blocks, customer specific requirements etc.Issue/obtain document numbers in line with project requirement and publish internally.Receive and transmit documents in line with project requirements. This includes complying with any customer document management systems requirements.Create and maintain all project documents management sheet.Expedite documents internally and externally.Edit and create documents as required.Ensure a high level of document integrity is maintained by coordinating and recording document flow in accordance with project documentation requirements and internal procedures.Follow up manufacturing data records with the relevant departments and compile the manufacturing data record books.Project Administration – Typing, Filing, Scanning, Copying, and other admin tasks.Internal documentsManage internal documents including design documents, specifications, MDR, etc.Communicate internal document updates to relevant stakeholders.Process developmentParticipate in updating the document control process.Identify/create the most effective tools to address the organization needs.Create a proposal for a consolidated document register/control system.Requirements:Ability to confidently implement a document control system.
