      This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious payroll candidate to step into a Senior Payroll Officer position working within an established payroll team reporting to the Group Financial Controller. This full time permanent role comes with excellent learning and up-skilling opportunities and the chance to coach, mentor and support the payroll team with weekly processing, reporting, payroll projects, etc. This role provides flexible working opportunities using the hybrid model working from the office and home. The office is located in North Sydney and is close to public transportation. Key responsibilities: Timely and accurate processing of payroll on a weekly / fortnightly basis.Accurate processing of commissions in accordance with current agreements.Maintenance of employee master data and the processing functions of the payroll and T&A systems.Review and respond to payroll queries.Preparation of accurate and timely reporting, including the preparation of EOM journal entries and allocation of employee entitlements.Assisting with the preparation of month end papers and journals for payroll related accruals (leave, wages, commissions, etc).Assist with monthly employee reporting.PAYG and superannuation calculations.Preferred skills and experience:Proven end to end payroll processing experience.Experience with award interpretation, system maintenance , PAYG and payroll tax.Experience working with a range of Payroll systems and ability to adapt and pick up new systems quickly.Ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.Intermediate excel skills are preferred.Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment. You will be working as part of a supportive HR team based in Eastern Creek (Western Sydney). This is a monthly payroll processing for both Australia and New Zealand employees using ADP. This part time role requires the successful candidate to work the equivalent of 3 days a week (22.8 hours). These days will have a split of working from the office and home as a hybrid working model is offered. The salary on officer is C. $85K - $95K + super (pro rata). This role would be suited to those looking to step into a part time role or looking to pick up more working hours. Key responsibilities include: Preparation and processing of the monthly payroll. Working collaboratively with both the HR and Finance team to ensure this is up to date and accurate. Reconcile the monthly pay run, complete with weekly adjustments, carryout superannuation and payroll tax calculations as well as any workers compensations.Maintain employee records and update with any payroll deductions.Prepare leave summary reports and payroll costing reports as part of month end processing.Maintenance of the Payroll System ADP and HRIS Workday.Assist with some HR administrative duties in relation to employee benefits, records, maintenance of HR intranet, etc. Preferred candidate skills and experience:Previous end to end payroll processing experience is expected.
