They are local and global-minded, with a focus on premium experiences. They are based in Sydney CBD and are looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join the team on a permanent basis.The role will include leading strategic, operational, and gaming audits in accordance with the Internal Audit Methodology and building relationships with key stakeholders to monitor and improve the control environment.They are looking for a Senior Internal Auditor who will:Complete strategic, operational and gaming audits including review of critical risk exposures, review of key operational processes and procedures, adherence to legislative and regulatory requirements.Maintain Audit Universe, including performance or strategic risk assessments and identification of priority areasBusiness Partner with stakeholders on assurance needs.Report audit findings and recommendations to Executive and department management.Liaise with department management and staff regarding audit findings and recommendations. Monitor implementation of agreed actions. Acting as critical source of information to Internal Audit Managers regarding the operations and risk profile of the companyPerform peer review of Internal Auditor audit filesProviding advice and assistance to management to develop and enhance internal controls and risk mitigation initiativesAttending meetings on behalf of the Internal Audit ManagerUndertaking initiatives outlined in the Business Plan to promote the role of Internal Audit and identification of new initiativesEnsure compliance with and adherence to all relevant legislation and policies and procedures in relation to Responsible Service of Gaming (including training), and the Responsible Gambling Code of Conduct.Compliance at all times to legislative requirements, company policies and company Code of Conduct. They are looking for a Senior Internal Auditor with:Relevant degree qualifiedCompletion of CA, CPA, IIA or equivalent qualificationSound knowledge of audit principles and internal audit methods and techniques (e.g. flowcharting, interviewing, presentation of findings, etc.)Demonstrable experience of working independently on internal audit reviews as well as in a team environmentProactive, energetic and hardworking with a passion for internal audit as a business enablerMinimum 6+ years post graduate experience in a similar role or via top tier Chartered Accounting firmMust have experience working with businesses in a highly regulated environmentExperience or understanding of gaming, entertainment, retail and / or hotel operations highly desired but not essentialPrior experience with IT audit, data analytics and risk-based auditing highly desirableIf you think this position is right for you, apply now!Have a question before applying?       Here at Randstad, we are looking to speak with External Auditors who are looking to relocate to Australia, or relocate interstate, with packages on offer for the assistance of the move. Firms are offering these packages to assist the relocation, to help ease the transition costs to Brisbane. Our clients are mid-tier and top tier firms throughout Brisbane and Queensland, Australia. To be considered for the role you must have at least 12 months experience within an Accounting firm in Australia, or at least two years experience in a mid-tier or top tier firm overseas, and have strong familiarity with the audit process from open to close. A chartered accounting qualification (or equivalent) is highly regarded. If you are applying from overseas you will need to have exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken.
