Associated with a well known multinational, this employer offers a permanent opportunity with exposure sophisticated software as a Supply & Inventory PlannerAbout the RoleTo coordinate the distribution of stock nation-wide and ensure optimum stock levels are maintained at all times. This is achieved through constant stock analysis and effective communication with suppliers.Your duties will include: Demand forecasting based on market size (IMS) & Team forecasts.Optimum levels of stock in the hub and spoke systemAnalyse and prepare stock reports i.e. Stock on hand, Short Expiry, Slow movers, Estimations of back in stock itemsOptimising Air & Sea shipments – Reducing Air freight costs, moving certain sea shipments to PerthHandling B2B orders (from receiving the PO, to the customer delivery stage)Liaising with suppliers and freight forwardersStreamlining existing processes & maintaining stock related databasesQC of the incoming stock (including samples)Continuous Cost analysis and monitoring of expenses on logisticsIdentify alternative of logistic & 3/4PL providersMonitoring distribution expenses on regular basisCustomer Relationship Management with Logistics associates at Distributors and Freight forwarding agents.Developing demand plans to meet sales objectives.Leading stock review meetings and reviewing sales forecasts.Liaising with the sales team to understand demand drivers.The Successful Applicant will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:Bachelor’s Degree is desirable, or Formal qualifications in Logistics and Inventory Management experience Relevant commercial or practical experience in the area of Logistics and Inventory Management is desirableCustomer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone and face to face.
