As they have a large number of repeat clients, the work is often negotiated rather than hard dollar tenders, and so they can be selective on the tenders they choose to work on. The client does use manual scale rule on some tenders due to the complexity. As your confidence within the position increases, the Director would like to invite you to attend client meetings with him to talk through the finer details on the projects and ensure everything is covered in your tenders and so you get a better understanding of the clients expectations along the way. Responsibilities:Preparation of TendersManage Tender Proposal documentation and drawingsMeasurementBills of QuantitiesReading plans & drawingsPrepare take off’sRespond to RFI's.Skills & experience:Minimum 2+ years experience as an Estimator in Sydney for a head contractorA good understanding of the Tender and Estimation process, with the ability to learn very quicklyUnderstanding of RFI's and ability to read drawings & do measurementsExtremely high attention to detail and quality of worksFluent in English, and have excellent written and verbal communication skillsIf you have no Australian work experience, unfortunately you will not be the right fit for this role. The Company: The company have been established over 15 years and have a close-knit team of around 15/20 staff currently. The business has a real family feel, so the personality fit is very important. You will also be consulting with the Project Managers to decide on the best approach on the tenders for each client, so everyone needs to get on well.
