      Your new companyOur client is the leading education body in Victoria, through their vision and mission, they have been able to continue their growth trajectory by building genuine partnerships with schools, Principals, teachers and staff. They are seeking to continue their success and further build on their high calibre and diverse Finance Business Partner team. About your new roleAs the business has experienced positive growth and with further strategic plans in place to expand, they are seeking a Finance Business Partner who can be a genuine commercial advisor to their stakeholders, communicating in an articulate and concise manner. As a Finance Business Partner, you will be a key pillar in steering the direction of multiple entities through financial insights and advice. Your key deliverables will be:Responsible for end to end financial integrity of each entity within your portfolioLead and coordinate key cost saving projects to benefit Schools Prepare annual budget, financial forecasts and manage cash flow ongoing.Monthly analysis of budget to actual based on management reports and action any remedies.Review and sign-off on Annual Financial Statements (AFS) as primary financial qualified personnel.Coordinate and develop strategic plans in relation to buildings and facilities in alignment with the school’s master and maintenance plansDevelop and analyse school fee structures and advise options to the Principal.Development and presentation of finances and finance proposals as determined by Principals/leadership.Oversee the annual audit and all external audit requirements.Assist, mentor and develop School Administration Staff.Assist Principal with managing the overall financing and budgeting of staff.Ensure relevant Federal, State and Local Government legal and funding requirements are adhered to.Assist with supplier contract negotiations.Liaise with shared services team leaders to manage delivery timeframes and communications with schools.What you need to succeedCA/CPA QualifiedIdeally, you will have a Big 4 or Mid-Tier audit backgroundProven experience working in an environment with multiple stakeholders You will be able to engage and influence non-financial stakeholders, articulation and “storytelling” of financial information is requiredAbility to lead and manage projects, ensuring timelines are managed and deadlines are prioritiesOutstanding communication and relationship building skills with staff, parents, suppliers and other key stakeholders.Technology One software experience is preferable but not essential.
