This company is an Australian, full-service logistics and supply chain services provider. This Australian company is a leader in their industry and due to company growth now requires their next committed Operations Manager. This is an exciting role for the Perth market. About the role: Create, lead and execute Operational strategic objectives that deliver tangible optimisation in safety, quality, cost, productivity, etc. Lead personnel and resources planning in conjunction with HR to deliver cost and safety effective dynamic responses to address capacity fluctuation Lead Quantitative assessment approaches of Operational performance, and lead improvements in performance measures of employees in order to consistently improve performance. Lead and mentor improvements to audit and investigation methods, processes, and procedures and organisational ability to identify logistics planning / resource short falls and enforce corrective actions.Lead and support Location analysis techniques that aid in the calculation of cost of warehouse procurement, set up and operating expenses in order to improve Operational performance. Coach, mentor and develop subordinate staff, at all times leading by example, providing learning opportunities and guidance to ensure staff are supported and in the best position to progress within the business.Maintain and grow the profitability of the Business Unit by controlling day to day operating costs and maximising revenue through development of improved efficiency's.Analyse the weekly profit & amp; loss Statement; identify errors and/orRegularly overview customer(s) contract performance, conduct reviews of service performance against initial budgets both internally and with the customer; and devise strategies to improve performance of systems and processes.Ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements, to ensure safety to staff, the community and the environment.Conduct regular performance appraisals and reviews for all staff.Conduct regular checks and inspections of workplace equipment and facilities to ensure the highest possible standards of cleanliness, maintenance, housekeeping, and hazard identification and rectification are maintained.Ensure Regulatory Compliance – Safety, DG, Environmental, etc. – at all timesSupport the Sales and BD team by providing information and training required to win new business, within commercial guidelines Lead improved capability to motivate and lead an operational team during ‘ramp up’ or ‘go live’ of a new warehousing or distribution centres.
