        Randstad is on the lookout for multiple candidates that are based in Melbourne for an upcoming shutdown in Darwin at the beginning of May. All training for the role will be provided prior to the commencement of the shutdown in Melbourne and all candidates will be then have paid flights and accommodation in Darwin Monitor Sentry Operator:The Operator replaces the conventional Safety watch (SW) and therefore has a lot of responsibilities. The Operator monitors up to 12 confined spaces with a maximum of 24 cameras. The Operator observes images, keeps an accurate count of people in confined spaces, and monitors the gas levels continuously. When necessary, the Operator takes immediate action, for instance, with rising gas levels or incidents inside confined spaces. They will be responsible for reporting this to the customer and alarming Emergency services. The Operator knows how to work closely with their Field Operator as a team to get the best results.Ideally, candidates will have the below tickets:White CardConfined Space Entry PermitGAS TEST ATMOSPHERES Permit Skills an Operator must possess: · Observance –goes beyond looking at images· Pressure resilience· Good computer skills· Multi-tasking· Solution minded· Action-oriented· Written and spoken communication skills The Safety Officer is the right hand of the site EHS Manager, these positions will be responsible for identifying hazards, assess risks to health and safety, put appropriate safety controls in place and provide advice about accident prevention and occupational health to management and employees.The Safety Officer’s will be provided with accommodation and travel for the duration of the project, the roster is for 12 hour shifts across day and nights. Responsibilities of the Safety Officer will include, but not limited to:Prepare and implement workplace, health and safety plans in accordance with clientComplete risk assessments, toolbox talks, audits, task observations, safety inspections and incident reportsComplete and maintain any documentation required for the projectProvide support to the site contractorsManage and develop relationships with contractors and stakeholdersThis role would be ideal for candidates that have experience as a safety officer within a blue-collar environment or trade contractors.
