With over 60 staff, they are growing from strength to strength and are looking to take on another estimator for their growing team. My client is a supplier of bespoke products made from metal sheet and plate. The organisation operates state of the art laser cutters, turret punches and brake presses, and are located in south Caboolture.Role Context:The Estimator is responsible for all activities from the time a client requests a quote to when they place the order. This includes drafting the custom parts, estimating production lead times from the production schedule, developing a full quote, acknowledging the order, nesting files, and handling the full order to the production scheduler.The Estimator communicates with the client to ensure the full client requirement is known, and all necessary information is provided to quote efficiently and accurately in a timely manner.The Estimator needs to work closely with Production Floor Supervisor and the Production Team Leader.Responsibilities and Accountabilities:The Drafter Estimator is responsible for ensuring all steps assigned to the role in this process map are completed accurately and safely.The Drafter Estimate is responsible for maintaining clear and courteous communication with clients, and ensuring all information required to quote is discovered as soon as possible in the process.
