Randstad Recruitment has partnered with a Tier 2 Commercial Construction Group, seeking a HSE Advisor to join the team on a permanent basis working across multi-storey apartment complexes within the Brisbane CBD.
In the role of a HSE Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the upkeep of health, safety, and environmental compliances, provide industry expert advice, as well as, develop, and deliver comprehensive Workplace Health and Safety programs, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees.
Duties:
- Liaise and report with members of project management
- Support Project and Site Management with the implementation of HSE systems and processes
- Ensure the implementation of WHS & Environment protocols to maintain compliance with current legislation
- Provide industry expert advice on WHS objectives and strategies to project teams
- Provide training and development guidance to on-site teams
- Promote and champion a strong safety culture within the workplace to improve HSE outcomes
- Complete regular on-site inspections, manage risk assessments, and auditing to ensure a safe working environment and reduce potential risks
- Investigate WHS incidents and implement appropriate actions to ensure non-recurrence
Certification & Experience:
- 5+ Years HSE Experience
- Previous experience within Commercial/Residential construction setting (Apartment Complexes)
- Comprehensive understanding of QLD WHS Legislation
- Vocational or Tertiary qualification in Safety (Minimum Cert IV)
- General Construction Induction “White Card”
- Full Working Rights within Australia
