Summer is between the months of December to February and is typically warm and dry with maximum temperatures reaching around 30 degrees. The northern more central areas are very hot, with the sub-tropical rainforests heavy and humid. The bushlands northeast is very dry and don’t typically cool down year-round.
Winter in NSW is between June and August and can be chilly across most of the state. Sydney specifically can see temperatures as low as 9 degrees. The coolest region however is the snowy mountains where snow and frost are common throughout the winter months. Rainfall is heaviest from March to June.
