The Role Reports to the Director City Assets and is responsible for managing and leading the Open Space Maintenance Section. You will have 9 direct reports and will oversee 250 people. You will ensure the effective and efficient operation of the section, with a drive on improving customer experience. Strong communication skills are essential to your success. You will be responsible for preparing annual business plans, budget allocation, performance management and implementing programs of work. You will be a strong and passionate leader who can drive a culture that is aligned with the council’s values. The Person Be a proven leader with the ability to motivate and inspire your staff. Have extensive experience in managing a large operational team, with previous change management experience. Have a strong customer experience focus, thinking strategically and innovatively on how this can be improved. You will have the following: Degree in Business Management or equivalent. Experience in leading a service delivery organisation that has achieved positive results. ● Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
