We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources professional to partner with our client to assist in taking their HR functions to the next level and provide support, HR guidance & leadership to the executive and client group. About the Opportunity:Our client manages Queensland’s funding relationships with the Commonwealth, including representing Queensland in various Commonwealth-State forums to achieve an equitable share of Commonwealth funding for the State. As a Senior HR Business Partner within the Business Partner team you will work closely with client groups and your colleagues on a range of people and workforce issues as well as be responsible for supporting the implementation of key human resource projects and initiatives. Key areas of responsibility include:Partner with executives and management, drawing on business knowledge, workforce data and other information sources to enhance workforce capability.Produce, analyse and provide recommendations on workforce information to executives and management to ensure effective establishment management practices.Collaborate and contribute to the effective delivery of HR solutions, including improving the use of HR metrics to inform and drive business improvement in support of the departments workforce strategy, staff engagement and culture.Provide expert contemporary HR advice and business partnering services to managers and staff on a range of workforce matters including:Recruitment and selection,Employment conditions,Governance and HR policy,Employee relations (performance and conduct),Learning and capability development, andEquity and diversity.Manage employee relations matters interpreting and applying public sector legislation, directives, policies and agreements to manage complex and sensitive employee matters. Analyse and challenge current business practices and procedures and recommend improvements to these in line with strategic business direction and HR management legislative requirements.Lead, or actively contribute, to significant workforce projects and collaborate and consult with key stakeholders and partners to achieve successful project outcomes.About you: Successful candidates will have considerable HR experience within State Government. Outstanding relationship building, coaching and influencing skills. You will also have a solutions-focused approach and deal with issues and change in a proactive, positive and dynamic way. Degree qualified in Business and/or Human Resources and previous experience working within a fast-paced/change environment will be highly regarded.
