      The Senior SCADA and Controls Engineer will report to the Grid Schedule & SCADA Manager to assist the clients technical sales, project, and service support within Australia. Ideally the role will be based in Sydney. However, the client is open to candidates to work from an Interstate office.The purpose of the role is to:1. Design and implement a SCADA system to meet project requirements, and ensuring best engineering practices are applied.2. Conduct design reviews of SCADA systems with National grid companies, contractors and suppliers to ensure proposed design meets project requirements and deliverables.3. Interface with R&D teams to validate the clients SCADA design and ensure market specific enhancements to the clients SCADA system are considered.4. Manage the installation and commissioning of SCADA systems and related interfaces5. Develop and conduct Factory and Site Acceptance Testing for SCADA systems.6. Ensure SCADA software changes adhere to version control best practices.7. Maintain the SCADA systems on current operating wind farms under the direction of the Service Manager subject to conditions of Operation and Maintenance contracts, including:o training and development of staff , particularly service technicianso assist in maintaining SCADA systems to meet availability and other criteriao review/maintain relevant licences, accounts, IP addresses etc8. Provide expert technical support and assistance to internal and external stakeholders on the capabilities and benefits of the clients SCADA products, including preparing and deviewing SCADA related proposals.9. Manage international SCADA commissioning engineers, as required, to meet project deliverables. Assist in coordinating overseas based design staff, sub electrical contractors and consultants to troubleshoot / configure issues or improvements arising within the Substation SCADA systems 10. Preparing/reviewing documents, manuals, instructions, sales documents – developing knowledge in the clients SCADA and energy control devices (EMP, VSG/VMP etc)11. Oversee network and cyber security enhancements, work with local suppliers12. Comply to all Workplace Heath, Safety and Environment Management Plan.13.
