    Randstad are currently recruiting for an experienced project support officer to join an established team within a Qld State government department on an initial contract until June 2022 with potential for further extension.Position is located on the inner northside of Brisbane paying between $48 & $54 per hour. Key accountabilities for this role include: Assist Principal Project Officers in the delivery of designated projects and/or project activities tofacilitate the successful delivery of high-quality projects. Assist with the monitoring of project activities including the ability to undertake multiple tasks, andcoordinate activities effectively within tight timeframes. Support risk and issue identification, assessment and mitigation activities by ensuring risks andissues are documented, reviewed and escalated as appropriate. Assist in the preparation of project reports and other general administrative tasks as required. Provide timely advice to internal and external stakeholders on the progress of designated projectsand/or activities within the area of responsibility. Maintain project files in accordance with regulations and policies. Perform administrative functions and other duties as directed by the Manager, Support or Principal Project Officers. Comply with and utilise contemporary human resource practices and policies including workplacehealth and safety, ethical behaviour, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination, andcommitment to their implementation consistent with the mission, vision, values and strategicintent of the department. The essential requirements for this role are: Experience working within a project environment and knowledge of or the ability to acquireknowledge of appropriate project methodologies. Ability to assist with the preparation of project documentation, maintenance of project files andthe preparation and presentation of project reports. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and an ability to work in a team environmentdeveloping effective relationships with stakeholders. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes and accountabilities.
