The Opportunity at HolcimReporting into the Executive GM - People, Culture & Communications, this role manages the full end-to-end payroll function (H2R) within Holcim Australia and New Zealand. As the Head of Payroll, you will be tasked with leading and mentoring a high-performing & cohesive team of payroll specialists to deliver timely, accurate and professional payroll services that are compliant with all statutory & legislative requirements. Your key responsibilities will include:Ensure accurate completion of all end of month and end of financial year payroll processes Providing Payroll services that are reliable, accurate, timely, cost effective, transparent and user-friendlyCoordination and management of entire payroll function including completion of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrunsEnsure all payroll processing conforms to various legislative requirements, Awards and Collective and Enterprise AgreementsMonitor and report on processing statistics and monitor against agreed SLA’sEnsure appropriate governance and audit of payrolls (tax compliance, superannuation, etc.)Implement effective and compliant payroll proceduresDevelop and maintain a training needs assessment for all payroll employeesWork closely with the Accounting team to ensure systems and processes align and ensure accounting entries associated with the Payroll process are accurate Play an active role in optimising customer relationships, with a view to limiting risk, improving collection initiatives and ensuring best outcome for Holcim Australia and New Zealand.
