About the Opportunity
Are you a high-achieving sales professional ready to lead the charge in Australia’s transition to a circular economy? We are a national leader in recycling and resource recovery, committed to a "waste-free Australia." We take what others call "waste" and turn it into valuable feedstock for the future.
We are looking for a Major Account Manager in Melbourne to manage our most significant partnerships across the construction, infrastructure, and commercial sectors. This is a field-based, relationship-led role where you will act as a strategic advisor to Tier 1 contractors and developers, helping them meet ambitious 2025 sustainability and ESG targets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Ownership: Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value Tier 1 accounts, owning the relationship from initial tender through to long-term expansion.
Consultative Selling: Partner with developers and facility managers to implement data-driven recycling solutions, providing verifiable resource recovery metrics to support their Green Star and infrastructure compliance.
Commercial Leadership: Lead end-to-end proposals and tender responses, ensuring our solutions are financially sound, safe, and outcomes-driven.
Site & Safety Engagement: Conduct on-site discovery and risk assessments, coordinating closely with operations to ensure seamless and safe service delivery.
Revenue Growth: Meet and exceed sales budgets by identifying upsell opportunities across our diverse service lines, including commercial waste, skip hire, and eco-products.
CRM Discipline: Maintain a healthy pipeline with consistent forecasting and activity logging to drive predictable business growth.
Experience & Skills Required
Proven Sales Track Record: Minimum 5+ years in consultative B2B sales or account management, preferably within waste management, construction, or heavy industrial sectors.
Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to engage with everyone from on-the-ground contractors to senior corporate decision-makers.
Sustainability Knowledge: A strong understanding of the circular economy and how resource recovery impacts ESG and regulatory compliance.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems and the ability to translate complex site requirements into clear commercial scopes.
Qualifications: A current driver’s licence is essential for site visits and client meetings.
