About the Opportunity
Are you a visionary sales leader with a passion for food innovation and a track record of driving FMCG growth? We are seeking a National Sales Manager to lead our clients Branded Division. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will take full ownership of the sales and marketing activation for our clients premium food brands.
This is a comprehensive leadership role where you will be the subject matter expert for a number of categories, driving a 3-to-5-year forward trade strategy and managing total brand P&L accountability. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth: Develop and deliver sales, promotions, and marketing strategies to improve profitability within our Key Account portfolio.
Major Customer Management: Lead the category review process and build deep, fact-based relationships with major retailers, including Coles and Woolworths.
Product Innovation (NPD): Champion new product development by identifying market trends and managing the end-to-end internal NPD process.
Financial Accountability: Establish budgets for sales and profit targets, ensuring accurate pricing models to deliver margin requirements.
Performance Reporting: Provide monthly monthly insights into market share, P&L drivers, and project milestones.
Supply Chain Collaboration: Manage forecast and stock requirements to ensure production efficiency and minimize waste on short-shelf-life products.
Team Leadership: Effectively manage brokers, sales teams, agents, and trade partners, driving a positive and collaborative culture.
Experience & Qualifications
Education: A Degree in Marketing or an in-depth understanding of marketing and advertising.
FMCG Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience in FMCG Category Management.
Senior Leadership: At least 5 years of experience in a senior sales role with a proven track record of delivering profitable commercial outcomes.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and presentation software, with the ability to perform fact-based category analysis.
