Key duties and responsibilities
This role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Working as part of a small team to manage the assurance and integrity of systems
- Implementing cyber security related patches for applications and operating systems based on urgency and applicability
- Liaising with Cyber Security and Third-Party Vendors for the implementation of required patches
- Contributing to the documentation of systems
- Participating and coordinating regular scanning and testing of the ICT environment.
- Performing additional duties or assume responsibility of functions as directed from time to time.
Mandatory Criteria
- Demonstrated experience with vulnerability management solutions, such as MECM, Nessus, Satellite, and Ivanti.
- Proven experience in analysing complex technical issues, identifying root causes, and developing effective solutions and experience in deploying, testing, and maintaining an enterprise sized ICT environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk management principles and processes in context of security patch management and infrastructure management.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience building and maintaining productive working relationships across the Branch and with other key stakeholders, promoting a culture of collaboration and respect.
- Demonstrated personal drive and integrity whilst achieving results, in alignment with legislation including but not limited to PSPF and ISM controls.
Desirable Criteria
- Demonstrated experience with managing and migrating solution infrastructure to the Azure platform.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to various audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian IT Cyber security frameworks and Familiarity with IT governance frameworks (such as ITIL and TOGAF), compliance standards, and security.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, including identifying opportunities to optimise team workflows.
