About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail oriented Azure Storage Operations Engineer to support the day to day operations of cloud based storage services within a secure enterprise environment. This role focuses on monitoring, maintaining, and optimising Azure-native storage resources, ensuring high availability, compliance, and data protection in line with organisational policies and Microsoft best practices.

Key Responsibilities
... - Provide operational support for Azure storage services, including Blob Storage, File Shares, Managed Disks, and Tables.
- Monitor performance and usage to ensure availability, cost-efficiency, and compliance with tagging and governance standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related incidents and contribute to problem analysis and change management processes.
- Validate backup jobs and restore data as required, reporting any anomalies or risks in protection coverage.
- Implement and maintain storage access control, encryption, and data retention policies in alignment with security standards.
- Collaborate with platform, application, and infrastructure teams to address complex storage-related issues.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation, procedures, and runbooks to support operational continuity and audit readiness.
Mandatory Requirements
- Active AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance (must be current)
- Australian Citizenship
- Onsite availability 5 days per week
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 4 year's experience managing cloud storage infrastructure, preferably within Microsoft Azure.
- Strong knowledge of Azure storage services: Blob, Files, Disks, and Tables.
- Experience with Azure Backup, RBAC, access controls, encryption, and data lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics for tracking storage performance and availability.
- Understanding of networking principles related to storage (e.g., service endpoints, NSGs, Private Endpoints).
