Our client is a locally owned and leading NDIS provider in the top end and is seeking a passionate specialist support coordinator to contribute to their mission. These services include Coordination of Supports, Specialist Support Coordination, Specialist Behaviour Supports, and Music Therapy.
... About Your New Role
As a Specialist Support Coordinator, you'll work closely with individuals facing complex care and medical needs throughout their lives, helping them overcome barriers to implementing their NDIS plans. You'll build vital relationships with participants, their families, disability service organizations, clinical staff, and various government departments like health, education, communities, and justice. Your role is all about fostering a collaborative approach, ensuring support is person-centered and delivered efficiently. You'll also be instrumental in establishing best practice care, providing training and support, and intervening to achieve positive, sustainable outcomes for participants, especially after a crisis
Your responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrated well-developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently and cooperatively as a member of a team
- Established ability to listen actively and demonstrate empathy
- Well-developed organisational skills, the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
- Working with Children card; NDIS Worker Screening; Police check (within 6 months)
- current Drivers Licence and roadworthy vehicle
- Computer literacy & efficiency in Microsoft Office
What You Will Need
To be successful in this role, you will need OR be willing to obtain
- A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Nursing or other Allied Health
- Current Australian driver’s licence and roadworthy vehicle
- Working with Children (Ochre) Card
- National Police Clearance
- First Aid Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening
- The right to work in Australia
