Position Overview:
As a Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring that the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
You will work closely with the Project Manager and senior leadership to ensure effective coordination of all site activities, including subcontractor management, quality control, and health and safety.
The initial project you are taking over has a well resourced team, excellent subcontractor base and you'll be delivering one of Brisbane's most high quality developments.
Our client has of Queensland's most exciting portfolio's and pipeline in the luxury apartment and mixed use sectors, so this is a long term career opportunity with strong financial backing and tier 1 systems, processes and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Lead and manage all site activities
- Oversee site operations, ensuring the project runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring work is completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, building codes, and environmental policies.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and proactively implement solutions.
- Manage site logistics, including materials management, equipment, and workforce allocation.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with the project schedule.
- Provide leadership and direction to site staff, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and authorities.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on large-scale commercial construction projects, ideally in luxury residential or high-rise developments valued above $200m
- Delivery experience on high-rise with basement builds for a head contractor or developer builder in Australia
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong commitment to quality, safety, and environmental sustainability.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or Engineering (preferred).
- Extensive experience in managing large, complex projects with a focus on high-end residential or commercial developments.
- Proficiency in project management software and construction documentation.
