IT Project Manager – Acquisition & Retail Infrastructure
6-Month Contract | Full-Time | Melbourne-based
We’re supporting a major enterprise as they integrate many newly acquired retail locations into their national footprint. As part of this work, they’re seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead discovery, planning, and integration across retail infrastructure, networks, and in-store technologies (POS, hardware, etc.).
What you’ll be doing:
Manage a third-party vendor conducting technical discovery across acquired businesses
Assess the current technology landscape—including infrastructure, networks, POS, and in-store systems—of the acquired organisation.
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to determine what should and shouldn’t be brought into the enterprise tech ecosystem.
Develop a clear technology integration roadmap and oversee execution across store-level IT systems.
Coordinate dependencies, risks, and communications across business, IT, and vendor teams.
About you:
Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager in retail, infrastructure, or M&A environments.
Familiarity with retail store technology (POS, network hardware, connectivity, etc.).
Strong vendor management and decision-making capability based on discovery insights.
Skilled at working across technical and non-technical stakeholders to align priorities.
Confident managing ambiguity and shaping project direction in dynamic environments.
