In this role you will:Be a visible safety leaderUndertake and support inspections and utilise engineering reports to identify structural remediation requirements of pipes, tanks and pressure equipmentIdentify, investigate and assess asset deterioration and/or corrosion Partner with other Structural Engineers to develop engineered remediation solutionsEngage operational stakeholders to ensure the remediation solutions are clearly defined and analysed for minimal disturbance to productionPartner with governance & technical Stewardship stakeholders to ensure solutions meet safety and design standardsMaximise project value by identifying options through creative thinking processesParticipate in the bid evaluation process and the selection of contractorsMonitor, manage and setup report your project’s adherence to work plans, schedule and budgetsSupport the planning, safe execution, and commissioning of Asset Integrity Remediation packages according to agreed scope, budget, schedule, and relevant standards and specificationsProvide input to the reporting requirements for work packagesEnsure projects are successfully executed by working collaboratively to determine the appropriate execution strategy, manage risks, complying with requirements and maximising project safety & constructability through design About you:Degree qualifications in mechanical engineering or equivalent is essentialA minimum of 3 years experience in a similar roleUnderstanding of mining, processing, heavy industry or construction projects, with experience working with Structural / Steel and Concrete advantageousPrevious experience in effectively delivering projects or studiesEffective stakeholder engagement and collaboration and problem-solving abilitiesOrganisational skills for managing a functional teams, contractors and multiple tasks simultaneouslyDemonstrated technical and commercial acumen with problem solving skillsCommunication and influencing skills, including the ability to produce concise reports and presentations to senior managersThis position will commence immediately and excellent rates are on offer.
