        Lead Planner - RailRandstad has partnered with a Victorian state government rail organisation in their search for a Senior Cost Controller.Benefits of this role:12 month contractMarket leading rates available Work on prestigious Victorian railway projectsKey Responsibilities include:Providing assistance to the Cost Planning Manager and Senior Manager - Commercial Project Controls in the management of the Cost team. Acts as Cost focal point for specific project scopes. Lead in various aspects of project cost control including allocating budgets, reporting cost deviations, cash flow reporting, cost forecasting and change management. Assist in supporting the maintenance of the Project Controls System to ensure data integrity and accurate reporting is provided in a timely manner and available. Tracking performance reporting timeframes to ensure that performance and cost outcomes are achieved. Assist in contractor variation assessments and claims evaluations. Review monthly progress claims to ensure variations have been approved and the claims substantiated as required. Main support lead to the Cost Controller to develop and prepare project reports and provide cost control and change management support across the project scope for the relevant Work Package Teams.The successful candidate will have:Relevant qualification in engineering/commerce/finance 10+ years of Cost Control experience Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve competing priorities within tight timeframes. Knowledge and application of Cost Control principles. Understanding of project controls mechanisms including cost forecast, program and month end reporting. Demonstrated project cost control experience within major construction or infrastructure projects, is preferable.
