      I have a requirement for 2 Electrical or Software Engineers to oversee the implementation and integration of a new Energy Management System. Please see the attached document outlining details of the accountabilities, knowledge and experience associated with the position/s. The roles will initially be for a 4-month period and subject to approval, is likely to be extended. The program of works is expected to run for approximately 12 months. My client is embarking on a transformational journey to leverage the benefits available through the introduction my client is seeking two Engineers to oversee the implementation and integration of a new Energy Management System of next-generational technology and prepare the network operations to be ready for the changing energy environment. Key Accountabilities: Commissioning and test planning and execution for the NGNO SCADA/AEMS project.Support the delivery and execution of test plans and test cases for each class of testing, including point-to-point, unstructured testing, pre-FAT, FAT, SAT and UAT;Participate in testing risk and issue management and resolution;Monitor, audit and report on test results;Provide timely and accurate reports to the Test Lead and management, including the Project and Program Managers, on all stages of the project life cycleKnowledge and Experience: Essential Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Electrical or Software Engineer. Applicants should be able to demonstrate knowledge in at least 60% of the following areas. Power generation, transmission or distribution system operation, maintenanceand estimation.Serial and packet communications protocols (IEC61850, Conitel, DNP3, IEC60870-/6RTU’s, HV substation design, commissioning or operation.Software architectures and programming principles, particularly for large data management systems.Maintenance of Windows or Unix/Linux environments, physical and virtual.Cyber security as applicable to industrial IT systems.Redundant high availability computer systems.Interpretation of contracts and technical standards.Experience in project execution including acceptance testing.Professional engineering services (RPEQ or working towards).These positions will report to the EMS Test Lead.
