Randstad is currently recruiting experienced Debt Recovery Officers. Multiple positions are available and the duration of assignments range between 3-6 months with a high view for extension.The location of work is Adelaide CBD. Days of work are Monday-Friday and pay rates for these roles range between $40-$45 per hour. If you have a background in debt recovery, accounts receibable/payable, property and over the phone customer service, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of overdue accounts, ensuring timely and effective debt recovery.
• Contact debtors via phone, email, and written correspondence to discuss outstanding balances and negotiate manageable repayment plans.
• Identify and locate debtors who have moved or are difficult to reach.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all communications, payment arrangements, and account activities in our collections system.
• Analyse financial information to develop tailored repayment strategies.
• Address debtor inquiries and concerns professionally and providing high level customer service.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and facilitate smooth collection processes.
• Prepare and submit reports on collections performance and accounts receivable status.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in debt collection, customer service
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with a focus on respectful and ethical communication.
• High level verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
• Proficiency in using debt collection software, including Connect and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

To be successful you will be immediately available and meet the above criteria. Previous experience within government will be highly regarded.
