Our award winning and market leading client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead their project management team.

As a Project Manager for our client, you'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of major projects across Southern Tasmania. This includes everything from initial planning and administration to hands-on leadership of the project team. Your main objective will be to ensure all projects meet or exceed our client's strict workplace health and safety, quality, and environmental standards.
About the role
- Lead with a Safety focus: Prioritise workplace health and safety above all else, developing and owning the project management plan.
- Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and coach the project management team to ensure they meet performance expectations and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships.
- Project Oversight: Manage project schedules, budgets & financial performance, and oversee the development of effective work plans.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure projects adhere to the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and all legislative requirements. You will also manage compliance with inspection and test plans to maintain project quality.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster effective communication with the project team and key stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek out and implement improvements to ensure best practices and a competitive advantage.
- Estimating: Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for new work opportunities.
- Subcontractor Management: Appoint subcontractors and ensure all compliance requirements are met.
About you
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction industry project management.
- Proven proficiency in project management methodologies and operations.
- In-depth knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills.
- Adaptability and the ability to work well under pressure.
- A valid Car Driver's License and WHS for Managers and Supervisors certification.
- A Diploma of Project Management is desirable.
