Duties:
Project Leadership and Team Management
- Manage and lead digital project teams to deliver strategic initiatives, ensuring the alignment with overarching business goals.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
- Promote a collaborative culture focused on teamwork, transparency, and mutual respect.
Project Initiation, Scoping and Planning
- Develop project scopes, objectives, and timelines, ensuring technical feasibility, and identifying required resources
- Manage the development of business cases.
- Utilise digital governance frameworks to effectively manage risk and adhere to relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Develop project plans, allocate resources, and coordinate team efforts to achieve project objectives.
- Manage projects risks and issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Resolve conflicts or roadblocks promptly to maintain project momentum.
Risk and Issue Management
- Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues across all projects, implementing mitigation strategies and ensuring team members understand and manage risks effectively.
- Maintain a risk register, tracking and reporting on the status of key risks and mitigation activities.
Key Capabilities:
- Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or demonstrable relevant experience - relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) is desirable.
- Experience (5+ years) in managing digital programs or projects with focus on initiating and planning phases.
- In-depth knowledge about business case creation, options analysis, risk management and benefits realisation planning, and experience with government procurement
- Experience working with Digital Delivery Frameworks.
- Experience working within Digital Portfolio Management Office governance and reporting structures, including the use of project management software tools (e.g. ALTUS).
