Our client is seeking a National Return to Work Coordinator to join a dynamic People and Culture function within a leading national organisation, reporting to the Senior Manager of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing. This is an immediate contract opportunity through to February 2026, offering approximately $500 per day + Super and based in Sydney CBD. You'll be instrumental in managing complex employee health cases, ensuring legislative compliance, and facilitating the successful return to work for staff across Australia. This is a critical role focused on proactive case management and timely support for our people.
Key Candidate Requirements
- Proven, hands-on experience in Return To Work (RTW) Coordination within a national setting.
- Deep understanding of Workers' Compensation legislation and best-practice case management across multiple Australian jurisdictions.
- Strong ability to interpret and apply Workplace Health & Safety policies, providing expert counsel to line management.
- Demonstrated experience in payroll data reconciliation and timely management of claims payments, ensuring compliance.
Key Duties
- Manage and coordinate all Workers' Compensation claims nationally for internal employees, overseeing an active caseload of approximately 43 ongoing claims.
- Provide end-to-end case management for both work-related and non-work-related injuries, including liaising with injured workers, managers, treating doctors, and insurers.
- Develop and implement Return to Work plans in line with enterprise agreement requirements and legislative standards.
- Proactively anticipate trends in workplace safety and wellbeing, investigating accidents and incidents (averaging 30 reports/month) to implement effective corrective and preventative measures.
