About the Opportunity
As the Management Accountant, you'll report directly to the Commercial Finance Manager. You will be at the forefront of delivering insightful business and financial analysis to enable informed decision-making across the sales, expense management, and New Zealand business functions. This is a true business partnering role, where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive margin, optimise costs, and support the achievement of broader business objectives. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with sales, marketing, and support functions to provide key financial, commercial, and strategic insights.
- Acting as the primary financial contact for the New Zealand business, managing compliance, payments, month-end closing, and reporting.
- Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for sales, service, support functions, and NZ operations.
- Conducting deep-dive analysis into customer, product, and segment profitability to identify commercial opportunities and risks.
- Managing month-end closing activities, including the accounting and reconciliation of sales, margin, and SG&A variances.
- Driving continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and supporting the implementation of streamlined processes.
Ideal Profile
- You will be CA/CPA qualified coupled with at least 5+ years of experience in management accounting, business finance, or financial planning and analysis.
- A proven track record working within a complex multinational company with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to act as a strategic partner, with the confidence to communicate complex financial concepts and influence non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling , with proficiency in Excel and ideally experience with SAP and Salesforce.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to critically evaluate business problems and propose effective solutions.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with a capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A self-driven and proactive approach with high attention to detail and the ability to manage strict reporting deadlines.
