About the Opportunity
As the Management Accountant for Supply Chain & Financial Reporting, you will report directly to the Commercial Finance Manager. You will be a crucial strategic partner to the supply chain team, delivering insightful financial analysis to enhance efficiency and drive cost optimisation. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance, supporting transparency, and achieving broader business objectives through meticulous financial control and commercial guidance. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the supply chain team to deliver impactful financial, commercial, and strategic insights.
- Managing the accounting for standard costs and purchasing variances, providing detailed explanations during month-end reporting.
- Preparing detailed inventory analysis, including ageing reports and provision calculations, and participating in regular stock counts.
- Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the supply chain and service functions.
- Identifying and executing cost-saving initiatives and process improvements within the supply chain function.
- Preparing and publishing a supply chain KPIs dashboard to contribute to monthly business performance reviews.
Ideal Profile
- You will be CA/CPA qualified with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in management accounting, FP&A, or business finance, ideally with exposure to supply chain operations.
- A proven track record of working within a complex multinational company and managing cross-functional relationships.
- The ability to act as a strategic partner, with demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to influence decision-making processes.
- Strong experience in budgeting and forecasting, with preferred experience using SAP ERP, particularly the Material Master and FICO modules.
- A strong commercial mindset with the ability to critically evaluate business problems and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- A self-driven approach, high attention to detail, and a commitment to meeting strict reporting deadlines.
