... About the role
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, this role is a hybrid position that plays a crucial part in supporting the local HR team, and providing critical payroll support for a broader national workforce.
You’ll be:
- Handling end-to-end payroll processing for a weekly payroll cycle, including coordinating with an external payroll provider.
- Managing HR operational activities across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
- Managing Workers' Compensation processes, including claims, reporting, and return-to-work coordination.
- Acting as a point of contact for employee and manager inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace matters.
- Providing generalist HR support, ensuring compliance with Australian employment legislation.
- Maintaining accurate employee records in the HRIS and assisting with HR reporting.
- Assisting with talent acquisition support as needed.
About you
An independent and adaptable professional with a background in an industrial setting. You'll have the skills and confidence to hit the ground running, as the manager travels frequently.
You'll have:
- 3-5 years of combined HR and payroll experience.
- Demonstrated experience in
managing Workers' Compensation claims and reporting. - The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with an industrial background is preferred.
