Here is an incredible, hands-on opportunity for a dynamic and experienced HR professional to become a HR Manager for the organisation and to be a strategic partner to their Executive team and family owners. Based in Sydney, NSW, you'll travel to Moree every 2-3 weeks to empower a safe, compliant, and engaging work environment for their diverse team of up to 300. You'll be the sole HR Manager, making a real impact on their people and their future.
What You'll Do:
... - Strategise & Execute: Develop and implement a forward-thinking HR plan that propels our business goals.
- Champion Employee Relations: Expertly manage all employee relations, from investigations to grievances and terminations.
- Guide & Support: Provide proactive industrial relations advice and operational HR support to our managers.
- Lead Negotiations: Spearhead Enterprise Agreement negotiations and ensure seamless Fair Work compliance.
- Drive Digital Transformation: Leverage your HRIS implementation experience to optimise Employment Hero for maximum automations
- Cultivate Talent: Partner on recruitment, onboarding, and talent management for our dedicated blue-collar and seasonal workforce.
- Develop & Grow: Coordinate impactful training programs to elevate WHS and leadership skills.
- Influence with Data: Utilise HR metrics and data to provide key insights and shape critical business decisions.
Who You Are:
- Experienced Leader: A minimum of 5+ years in a similar HR Manager role within a large, multi-site organisation, ideally in agribusiness or a regional/rural setting.
- Australian HR Expert: Extensive knowledge of Australian HR processes and industrial frameworks, with proven experience in collective bargaining.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in HRIS platforms like Employment Hero, with a passion for process digitisation.
- Resilient & Engaging: Possess a high level of discretion, integrity, and resilience. You're a self-starter with exceptional communication skills, adept at building productive relationships at all levels.
Travel: Regular travel to P&J Harris & Sons sites across northern NSW especially Moree and Queensland is an integral part of this role, and a company vehicle will be provided.
