This is a unique, hands-on opportunity for an experienced and resilient HR professional to be a strategic business partner to the Executive team and family owners. Based in Moree, NSW, this person will be the sole HR Manager responsible for empowering a safe, compliant, and engaging work environment for a dynamic team of up to 300. We will consider applicants open to a relocation to Moree and P&J Harris & Sons will provide fair and reasonable compensation to support the move.
Main Responsibilities:
... - Develop and execute a strategic HR plan that aligns with business goals.
- Manage employee relations matters end to end, i.e., investigations, grievances and terminations.
- Provide proactive industrial relations advice and operational HR support to managers.
- Lead Enterprise Agreement negotiations and ensure Fair Work compliance.
- HRIS implementation experience, oversee the optimal use of employment hero for maximum automation.
- Partner on recruitment, onboarding, and talent management for the blue-collar and seasonal workforce.
- Coordinate training programs to uplift WHS and leadership skills.
- Use data and HR metrics to provide insights and influence key business decisions.
About You:
- A minimum of 5+ years experience in a similar HR Manager role within a large, multi-site organisation, preferably in agribusiness or a regional/rural sector.
- Extensive knowledge of Australian HR processes and industrial frameworks, with demonstrated experience in collective bargaining.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms like Employment Hero and a strong focus on process digitisation.
- High level of discretion, integrity, and resilience. This person should be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, capable of building productive relationships at all levels.
Travel: Regular travel to the company's sites across northern NSW and Queensland is required. A company vehicle will be provided.
