The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the financial operations of the Centre and provide key support in budgeting, reporting, compliance, and day-to-day financial administration.

Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant awards and entitlements
Prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger entries
Monitor cash flow and support funding/grant reporting
Ensure compliance with ATO, CCS (Child Care Subsidy), and regulatory requirements
Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and regulatory bodies as required
Assist with policy development related to financial management and sustainability
Requirements
- Qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Diploma or higher)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance/accounting role
- Familiarity with early childhood education funding and CCS processes (desirable)
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB)
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Current Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration or willingness to obtain
