Our client, a well-established Darwin-based company, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager.
This is a key leadership position where you will play a crucial role in ensuring financial integrity, managing budgets, and providing strategic financial advice to the General Manager.
About the Role
... - Ensure that company operations conform to statutory and legal obligations relating to supply contracts, licences, taxes, and levies.
- Produce monthly Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss accounts, monthly financial management reports including variance analysis and commentary.
- Prepare annual rolling OPEX and CAPEX budgets for the next three (3) years in conjunction with the General Manager.
- Update AX (Group ERP) with monthly movement journals.
- Maintain Focus (reporting/budgeting) budgets and update monthly reports.
- Provide the General Manager with project and oTo continually review expenditure and report any trends which may lead to departures from projections.Overhead expenditure information as required.
- Conduct financial analysis of prospective capital expenditures using discounted cash flow techniques where appropriate.
- Oversee the management and operation of the company’s Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Purchasing and Stores systems.
- Supervision of payroll and administration officer positions (2 FTE’s)
- Maintain an accurate and comprehensive Capital Assets Register in a form acceptable to the Auditors and General Manager.
- Liaise with lenders in regards to plant and equipment financing.
- Produce draft company tax returns with associated workpapers.
- Reconcile monthly BAS statements, fuel tax claims for group lodgement.
- Maintain FBT records and submit annual summary for group lodgement.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or Business Law.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with computer software, including Excel and other accounting packages
