Are you a contracts or project administrator with a strong background in the construction industry, looking for a stable and rewarding career change? We are seeking skilled professionals to join the Australian Public Service (APS) and apply their expertise to a diverse portfolio of government projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a mix of client-side and contractor-side experience to transition their skills in a new and challenging environment. Your role would be pivotal in managing project documentation, processing progress claims, handling variations, and overseeing supplier agreements.
We're looking for candidates who can demonstrate a solid understanding of both financial and document management aspects of contracts. While specific experience with government systems is not required, transferable skills from platforms like Aconex, Procore, or Simpel will be highly valued. Experience in refurbishment, fit-out, and renovation projects would also be a significant advantage.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Administering construction contracts, including managing project documentation and correspondence.
Reviewing and processing progress claims and invoices.
Managing variations and change orders in accordance with contract terms.
Drafting and negotiating supplier and subcontractor agreements.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project records and financial data.
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
Salary
The salary for this position is commensurate with APS Level 5/6, with current salary ranges typically between $85,000 - $115,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
